Job summary

Martin County Hospital District in Stanton, Texas, is seeking a per diem OR Registered Nurse to join our operating room team. The RN will assess patients, develop and implement care plans, and oversee care by non-licensed staff to ensure safety and quality.

The role requires an active Texas nursing license, BLS on hire, and ACLS within 90 days; PALS is preferred. Two years of OR experience is valued in a facility designated as a Critical Access Hospital in rural West Texas.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice professional nursing in Texas (or Nursing Compact state).
• ACLS required within 90 days of hire; BLS on hire; PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop a plan of care; implement and evaluate care.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and practice standards.
• Direct and monitor care provided by non-licensed staff; ensure safe delivery of care.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team to meet patient needs; assist with lab testing and quality control as needed.
