Job summary

Townsen Memorial Hospital is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse - Operating Room to join our surgical team. Responsible for direct patient care in the intra-operative setting, you will collaborate with surgeons and staff to ensure safety and efficiency during procedures.

You must hold an active Texas RN license and current BLS/ACLS; PALS is required within 90 days of hire. Prior OR experience is preferred, with the ability to respond quickly to changing patient needs.

Qualifications

• Current, active, unrestricted RN license issued by the State of Texas.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• One year of intra-operative care experience.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; RN in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Develops and updates plan of care with patient and family using the nursing process.
• Follows nursing processes; adapts care based on patient condition.
• Maintains patient safety and quality standards.
• Documents accurately and communicates patient status to team.
• Prepares operating room according to procedure requirements.
• Assists in confirming operative site and coordinating with surgical staff.
