Qualifications

• Successful completion of BLS/BCLS within 90 days of employment.
• Successful completion of ACLS within 90 days of employment.
• PALS certification required if pediatric care is included.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status per facility policies.
• Interpret information from monitors.
• Develop individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Provide education to patient and designated support person.
• Perform hand-offs and transfer care as needed.
• Adhere to infection control and patient rights policies.
