Job summary

Regent Surgical Health in East Brunswick, NJ is seeking a PreOp/PACU RN to provide comprehensive perioperative care before and after surgery, ensuring patient safety throughout the perioperative period.

You will assess patients, monitor vitals, administer medications, collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia staff, and prepare patients for discharge, maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of nursing experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license in the appropriate State.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and prepare patients for surgery, assess medical history.
• Explain procedures to patient and family.
• Ensure proper surgical site prep and informed consent.
• Perform venipuncture and blood draws.
• Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the team.
• Monitor vitals as patients recover from anesthesia.
• Administer pain medications and manage pain.
• Assess readiness for discharge and provide instructions.
• Maintain supplies and document nursing care.
• Operate designated equipment and perform other duties.
