Job summary

NYC Joint & Spine Center in Englewood, NJ is seeking a Registered Nurse to support pre-op, PACU, and OR patient care. The role involves assessing patients, delivering individualized nursing care, monitoring recovery, and collaborating with the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient procedures.

Responsibilities include acting as circulating nurse, planning and evaluating perioperative care, maintaining sterile environments, documenting communications, and educating patients on post-op

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Current NJ RN license (unencumbered).
• At least 1 year of OR or perioperative nursing experience (within last 3–5 years).
• Current BLS (ACLS required within 6 months).

Responsibilities

• Serve as circulating nurse, supporting patients, surgeons, and anesthesia staff during procedures
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in perioperative settings
• Monitor patient status and respond to changes during recovery
• Document accurately and communicate effectively with team members and patients
• Maintain sterile environments and adhere to safety protocols
• Support patient education and post-op instructions
