Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Maine is seeking a Registered Nurse for Pre-Op and PACU to provide direct and indirect patient care in the perioperative setting. This full-time, variable-shift role includes collaboration with surgeons and anesthesiologists, staff coordination, and adherence to regulatory standards and hospital policies.

The position requires a valid RN license, BLS, and typically perioperative experience.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintained.
• Minimum of one year perioperative experience or on-the-job training.
• CNOR certification preferred.
• BSN degree preferred.
• ACLS certification within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• PALS certification within 30 days of hire and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Direct and indirect patient care in the perioperative setting using the nursing process.
• Coordinate care with surgeon and anesthesiologist and supervise OR staff.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, policies and performance improvement activities.
