Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, ME is seeking a Registered Nurse for Peri Anesthesia (Pre-Op/PACU) on a full-time, variable schedule basis.

Eligible candidates may receive a sign-on bonus up to $20,000. Requirements include an active state RN license, BLS, and perioperative experience or on-the-job training; ACLS and PALS within 30 days are required, CNOR and BSN are preferred. CMH offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year previous Perioperative experience or on the job training.
• Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• ACLS certificate within 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• PALS certificate within 30 days upon hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting.
• Coordinate care with the surgeon and anesthesiologist.
• Direct and guide OR staff while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities and unit meetings.
