Job summary

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Previous acute care hospital experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect peri-operative care in Pre-Op and PACU settings.
• Perform pre-anesthesia assessments and post-anesthesia recovery monitoring.
• Monitor airway, hemodynamic status, pain control, and level of consciousness.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Coordinate patient care and direct OR Technicians and support staff.
• Ensure safe patient flow across the peri-operative continuum.
• Maintain compliance with AORN, Joint Commission, and hospital standards.
• Participate in performance improvement, unit meetings, and education.
• Serve as a clinical resource to staff and team members.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure HIPAA compliance.
