Job summary

UNC Health Care is seeking an experienced Perioperative Registered Nurse to join our surgical services team in Lenoir. The role supports Day Surgery Unit and PACU, delivering patient-centered care across the perioperative continuum within UNC Lenoir Health Care.

You will assess patients pre- and postoperatively, monitor stability and pain, administer treatments, and collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current North Carolina RN license (or eligible for licensure).
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe preoperative and postoperative nursing care for surgical patients.
• Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor anesthesia-related recovery.
• Collaborate with anesthesia, surgeons, and care team to achieve optimal outcomes.
