Job summary

OrthoNebraska is seeking a Pre/Post RN to provide high-quality, patient-centered care throughout the perioperative process in an orthopedic surgical center. You’ll prep patients for surgery, monitor in PACU, and support smooth recovery and discharge while collaborating with surgeons and anesthesiologists.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, Nebraska RN license (or compact state eligibility), and BLS/ACLS/PALS or ability to obtain within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license in Nebraska or a compact state.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS required or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessment of the patient’s nursing care needs.
• Develop, review, revise and individualize the plan of care.
• Implement interventions per the established plan of care.
• Evaluate patient response to care and interventions.
• Maintain professional behavior aligned with the organization's mission.
• Initiate actions to correct or minimize risk to patient, family or staff.
• Comply with safety policies and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in performance improvement activities.
• Attend department meetings and mandatory educational programs.
• Follow hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
• Responsible for all other duties as assigned.
