Perioperative RN — PACU/OR, 2x10hr Shifts

Job summary

OrthoNebraska is seeking a Pre/Post RN to provide patient-centered perioperative care in an orthopedic surgical center. You will prepare patients for surgery, monitor in PACU, and support safe recovery until discharge.

Hours are two 10-hour shifts between 5:30a and 8:30p on a rotating schedule, with 1-2 weeks of call per year. RN license in Nebraska or a compact state is required, with BLS/ACLS/PALS certification or within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• RN license in Nebraska or compact state is required.
• BSN preferred; perioperative experience is a plus.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS required or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs an initial and ongoing assessment to determine nursing care needs.
• Develops and revises the plan of care for optimum patient outcomes.
• Implements interventions safely and evaluates patient response.
• Collaborates with surgeons and PACU staff to ensure patient safety.
