Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room at Howland Outpatient Surgery. The role focuses on delivering high-quality perioperative nursing care, coordinating with the surgical team, and ensuring patient safety across pre-op, intra-op, and post-op phases.

The ideal candidate holds an accredited nursing degree and active RN licensure, with BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications preferred at hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited associates degree or bachelor’s degree in nursing
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse
• ACLS/PALS certifications preferred at hire; must obtain if required by department
• CNOR and SGNA are preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment
• Observe the surgery and surgical team and help maintain a safe, comfortable environment
• Manage nursing care in the OR and coordinate with the surgical team and other providers
• Provide pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care including discharge instructions
• Other duties as assigned
