Job summary

University Health is seeking a dedicated Perioperative Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Lakewood Medical Center OR and PACU teams. You will deliver comprehensive care from pre-op assessment through recovery, ensuring patient safety and smooth transitions throughout the surgical journey.

The role supports OR and PACU in Missouri, with varied work schedule, 40 hours per week, and opportunities to mentor staff while upholding the Missouri Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Current Missouri RN license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• BCLS certification required and maintained.
• ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire and maintained.
• PALS certification, if required by department.
• Radiology certification if applicable to role.

Responsibilities

• Operating Room: provide comprehensive care during surgeries and support surgical teams.
• PACU: monitor recovery from anesthesia, manage pain, assess vitals, ensure patient safety.
• Perform thorough pre-operative assessments and develop personalized care plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and mentor nursing staff.
