Job summary

OptumCare in Washington is seeking a Staff RN to manage patient safety in the operating room and assist with supervision of nonclinical staff. The RN will anticipate needs of the surgical team and maintain aseptic, safe conditions throughout procedures.

The role requires WA RN licensure, at least 6 months perioperative nursing experience, and BLS (ACLS preferred or obtainable within 3 months). The position emphasizes collaboration, documentation, and continuity of care with recovery room staff.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Active RN license through Washington State DOH.
• Minimum of six months perioperative nursing experience.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers (AHA).
• ACLS or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the health status to develop an individualized plan of care.
• Develops a nursing care plan with goals and interventions.
• Implements the nursing care plan for optimal patient care.
• Instructs patient and family for health status improvement.
• Documents nursing activities for continuity of care and accountability.
• Identifies patient and operative site; ensures correct patient alignment.
