Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care as defined within the state nurse practice act and administers prescribed meds.
• Forms a prioritized, goal-directed plan of care based on present problems.
• Implements care in a knowledgeable, skillful, and consistent manner.
• Establishes priorities using patient needs and available resources.
• Documents in patient records accurately and timely per department standards.
• Adheres to universal protocol and surgical safety checklists; maintains sterile environments.
• Participates in quality improvement activities and clinical education.
