Job summary

Washington Regional Medical System in Fayetteville, AR seeks a Registered Nurse to serve as PACU/Operating Room Circulator. This role provides comprehensive perioperative care before, during, and after surgery, prepares the OR, passes instruments, monitors vital signs, and supports the surgical team.

Requires graduation from an accredited nursing program and active RN license with CPR. ACLS and PALS are required within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN license and CPR certification required.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient health and discuss the procedure with the patient.
• Prepare the patient for surgery and verify the surgical site.
• Maintain sterile field and assist with instrument passing.
• Monitor vital signs and anesthesia during the procedure.
• Assist with postoperative care and education for patients and families.
• Document surgical logs and care plans accurately.
• Coordinate with the surgical team to ensure smooth transitions between phases.
