Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year previous Perioperative experience or on the job training at Saint Mary’s
• Must be able to communicate in English (Speak, Write)
• Current and valid Nevada RN License.
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• ACLS (AHA) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting following the nursing process across age groups.
• Coordinate care with the surgeon and anesthesiologist; direct the OR Technician and other staff.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure a continuum of care, efficient patient flow and unit organization.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities, unit meetings and in-services; serve as a resource for staff.
