Job summary

Saint Mary’s Health Network, a member of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the perioperative/OR setting on a per diem basis. The RN will coordinate with the surgeon and anesthesiologist and oversee OR personnel while ensuring quality patient care.

Requirements include active RN license, BLS, and 1 year perioperative experience or on-the-job training; CNOR preferred, with ACLS and PALS to be completed within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year previous Perioperative experience or on the job training.
• CNOR Certification (AORN) preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• ACLS certificate within 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• PALS certificate within 30 days upon hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting.
• Coordinate care with the surgeon and anesthesiologist.
• Direct and guide OR technicians and other personnel.
• Maintain standards of professional nursing and unit policies.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities and in-services.
