Ideal candidates hold an accredited nursing degree, current RN licensure, BLS/ACLS (and PALS if pediatric care is included), with perioperative nursing certification preferred. The role emphasizes patient-centered care and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• One year of OR and/or medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Current state nursing licensure to practice in good standing.
• Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BLS certification.
• Successful completion of Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of employment or documentation of current ACLS certification.
• Successful completion of Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90 days of employment or documentation of current PALS certification if pediatric care is included in the facility scope of services.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA Health.
• Assess patient status throughout the perioperative episode of care.
• Develop an individualized perioperative patient plan of care.
• Serve as a member of a multidisciplinary team in planning perioperative patient care.

Education

RN license (Registered Nurse)

State licensure in good standing

BLS within 90 days

ACLS within 90 days

PALS within 90 days if pediatric care

Perioperative nursing certification (preferred)
