Job summary

Cape Cod Healthcare is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to serve as Charge Nurse in the Operating Room. The role emphasizes coordinating OR operations, supervision, and adherence to safety policies within the hospital setting in Massachusetts.

The position requires prior OR experience or Peri-op training, MA RN license, BLS, and strong documentation and informatics skills for effective patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. BSN preferred.
• One year OR experience or Peri-op 101 Training Program required.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Basic Life Support Certification required.
• Must read, write and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all daily operating activities of the Operating Room with Nurse Manager and the Department of Anesthesia.
• Assist in the supervision of personnel and department to provide quality patient care and a safe environment.
• Assist in staff development and education and in identification of unit needs.
• Assist in additional duties as directed by Nurse Managers.
• Provide and control material, supplies and equipment for efficient operation of the Operating Room.
• Supervise the control and maintenance of drugs, e.g. inventory of Pyxis.
