Job summary

Frederick Surgical Center in Frederick, MD seeks a perioperative Registered Nurse (PRN) for Operating Room duties. Provide safe patient care before, during, and after procedures; collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and techs to ensure accurate site surgery and optimal outcomes.

You’ll monitor vitals, administer meds, document care, and educate patients and families about what to expect. Current RN license in Maryland, BLS/ACLS, CNOR preferred; two years perioperative experience

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN licensure in Maryland.
• Two years perioperative services experience preferred.
• BLS certification; ACLS certification; CNOR/PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient for procedures and assist in OR setup.
• Record vital signs and monitor patient status intraoperatively.
• Provide medications safely and document care in records.
• Support surgeons, anesthesiologists and OR team to ensure correct-site surgery and infection prevention.
• Educate patients and families about perioperative expectations.
