Job summary

SCA Health in Frederick, MD seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room to support perioperative care within a multidisciplinary team. You will assess patient status and develop individualized perioperative plans to align with our mission and values.

Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current state licensure is required; BLS, ACLS and PALS (if pediatric care is included) must be completed within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current state nursing licensure in good standing.
• BLS within 90 days; ACLS within 90 days; PALS if pediatric care is included.
• One year OR and/or medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Specialty certification in Perioperative Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA.
• Assess patient status throughout the perioperative episode of care.
• Develop an individualized perioperative patient plan of care.
• Serve as a member of a multidisciplinary team in planning perioperative patient care.
