Job summary

UMC Health System in Lubbock, Texas seeks a full-time OR nurse to join a collaborative perioperative team. The nurse will provide comprehensive patient care across preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative phases, coordinating with surgeons, anesthesia and support staff.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, Texas RN license/compact, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS certification. BSN preferred or to be obtained within 3 years of hire.

Qualifications

• Acute care experience required.
• Current BLS/ACLS/PALS certification required.
• Texas RN License or Compact License in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide total nursing care for a group of patients in preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases.
• Assess, implement or delegate plans of care in accordance with standards.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists and ancillary staff.
