Job summary

Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, VA is seeking an RN I for the Operating Room. This full-time, in-person role provides professional nursing care across all ages, coordinating care with the health care team to ensure safe and high-quality outcomes.

The RN must be a graduate of a state-approved nursing program with Virginia licensure or eligibility, and BLS-HCP certification is required. ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required by area.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved program.
• Experience: None.
• Current RN license in the Commonwealth of Virginia or eligibility to obtain licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients across all ages.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Administer treatments and medications and document care in EMR.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans.
• Support orientation and training of new employees.
• Identify and address patient and family education needs.
• Advocate for patients and support their rights and psychosocial needs.
