Job summary

Animas Surgical Hospital in Durango, CO is seeking a Registered Nurse – Perioperative to assess, plan, organize and evaluate patient care for the assigned unit. The role reports to the Director, Perioperative Department and RN Supervisor and may require staying on-site with no remote option.

Requirements include a current RN license, CPR, ACLS/PALS or TNCC per policy; BSN preferred and prior RN experience in related care areas is appreciated. We offer competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Current state license as a registered nurse
• CPR certification on file
• ACLS, PALS or TNCC certifications per policy
• Previous RN experience in related care area preferred

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to provide quality patient care according to established standards
• Admits, transfers, and discharges patients
• Completes ongoing patient assessment and documents according to policy
• Develops patient plan of care with problems, goals, evaluations and interventions
• Reports symptoms and significant changes in patient condition promptly
• Collaborates with care team for discharge planning and education
• Demonstrates age-appropriate care from child to geriatric
• On-site work requirement; remote/hybrid not available
