Job summary
AtlantiCare is seeking a Perioperative Nurse to support surgical and endoscopic procedures by delivering equipment, supplies and team coordination through all three phases of the patient care pathway.
The role emphasizes excellent patient and family support, strong communication, and adaptability in a busy operating room environment. A NJ RN license and BLS/HCSP are required, with ACLS recommended and CNOR/CPAN/CAPN desirable.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor’s in Nursing preferred.
- Current licensure as Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey. Current BLS/HCSP. ACLS certification recommended. Preferred certifications: CPAN, CAPN, CNOR.
- Prior ambulatory/operating room nursing experience preferred. Ability to communicate effectively and adapt to schedule changes.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care across the three phases of the surgical experience and support family.
- Supply and assist physicians with equipment and instruments for procedures.
- Support quality customer service and participate in performance improvement.
- Demonstrate teamwork and cooperation within a fast-paced hospital setting.
