Responsabilidades

• Promotes and restores patient health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients and families; supervising assigned team members.
• Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families.
• Assures quality of care by adhering to standards; measuring health outcomes against goals; adjusting as needed; following hospital and nursing policies.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; calling for assistance when needed.
• Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and medication handling procedures and regulated substances rules.
• Maintains continuity among nursing teams by documenting per policy and communicating actions using SBAR while protecting patient confidentiality.
• Ensures proper function and operation of equipment; troubleshooting equipment malfunctions; calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment as needed.
• Ensures case readiness by confirming supplies, equipment, instruments, and implants are available per procedure and doctor preferences; documents costs.
• Maintains professional knowledge through continuing education and required certifications.
• Contributes to team efforts and high-quality, safe patient outcomes through collaboration with peers, supervisors, surgeons, and anesthesiologists; upholding PRIDE values.
