Job summary

Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room. You will provide perioperative nursing care, coordinate with surgeons and anesthesia, and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout operative procedures.

The role requires NJ RN licensure, BLS, and at least 1 year of OR experience, with a BSN preferred. CNOR is a plus. This full-time position supports Atlantic Health’s commitment to high-quality, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• BSN preferred.
• ASN must complete BSN within five years of start date.
• Current NJ RN License.
• BLS certification required.
• CNOR certification preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year Operating Room RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Promotes and restores patient health by completing the nursing process and collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
• Provides emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families.
• Adheres to infection-control policies and medication administration procedures.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment and coordinates equipment readiness.
• Documentation and SBAR communication to ensure continuity of care.
• Promotes PRIDE values and collaborates with surgical team for quality outcomes.
