Job summary

CHRISTUS Health is seeking an experienced nurse to provide independent, patient‑centered care in a perioperative or related setting. You will apply the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate care for assigned patients, addressing complex psychosocial needs and coordinating with the care team.

The role requires a BSN (preferred), 1 year of related experience, and current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. Ongoing orientation and credentialing support are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
• BLS required; ACLS and PALS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patient and families.
• Administers medications and treatments; monitors for side-effects and effectiveness of the treatment prescribed.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members and/or care givers.
