Job summary

Bridgton Hospital is seeking a Staff RN for the operating room to provide direct and indirect patient care in a perioperative setting. You will coordinate with surgeons and anesthesiologists, guide OR staff, and ensure smooth patient flow through the surgical unit.

The role requires RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, with perioperative experience preferred. CNOR is a plus, BSN preferred, and a dayshift, part-time schedule is available.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintained.
• ACLS (AHA) certification within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• PALS (AHA) certification within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Minimum of one year perioperative experience or on-the-job training.
• CNOR Certification (AORN) preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct and indirect patient care in the perioperative setting.
• Coordinate care with the surgeon and anesthesiologist.
• Direct the OR Technician and other personnel while maintaining nursing standards.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure continuum of care and efficient patient flow.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities and unit meetings.
