Job summary

Openwork Health is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join a supportive healthcare team in a dynamic surgical setting. You will deliver perioperative care before, during, and after procedures while collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered RN license.
• Minimum of one year of recent OR/perioperative nursing experience.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
• Strong aseptic technique and infection control knowledge.
• Ability to work well in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to meet credentialing and onboarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and supplies before procedures.
• Assess preoperative status and verify consent and documentation.
• Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and provide continuous nursing assessment.
• Advocate for patient safety and comfort, addressing concerns promptly.
• Assist surgeons and surgical techs, maintaining aseptic technique.
• Provide comprehensive postoperative care and discharge planning as needed.
• Document all care per policy and regulatory guidelines.
• Engage with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
