Job summary

UnityPoint Health is seeking a Perioperative Operations Coordinator to safeguard surgical supply and implant charges across perioperative sites. The role interfaces Epic OpTime/Cupid, ERP, and clinical ops to identify and correct discrepancies, coordinating with informatics to ensure accurate patient records and revenue integrity.

The position involves audits, data analysis, and system-wide support, with a remote work option for candidates within the UnityPoint footprint in IA/IL/WI.

Qualifications

• 4 years of Epic experience including OpTime and Cupid.
• Experience with supply chain ERP systems and interface to EHR.
• Knowledge of perioperative materials, implants and documentation.
• Certified in Dependent Adult Abuse and Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine audits of surgical supply and implant charges for accuracy and compliance.
• Review cost changes and item master updates against EHR and ERP data.
• Analyze usage reports to assess downstream charge impact.
• Evaluate implant description changes for billing implications and update as needed.
• Coordinate corrections with site informatics and track resolutions.
• Perform monthly audits of HCPCS-coded items with high-cost implants.
• Interpret manufacturer specs to determine billable units and document findings.
• Audit new supply records for correct codes and pricing prior to activation.
• Provide system-wide support for charge inquiries and corrections.
