Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc. is seeking a Procedure RN to assist during procedures within a fast-paced surgical environment. You will assess patients, deliver direct care, and educate patients and families on pre- and post-operative care.

The role emphasizes patient advocacy, adherence to infection control, and meticulous documentation in the EMR; BLS, ACLS/PALS training pending, and Wisconsin RN licensure are required with ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications

• ADN from an accredited nursing program
• Current RN licensure in Wisconsin
• BLS certification required on hire
• ACLS and PALS certification within six months of hire
• Perioperative or general nursing experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Advocate for patients’ rights and provide compassionate care
• Assess patient health problems and develop care plans with the healthcare team
• Provide direct patient care and administer medications as prescribed
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and post-surgical care
• Prepare patients for outpatient surgical procedures and testing
• Monitor patient status and respond to emergencies
• Document care information accurately in the EMR
• Coordinate discharge planning and post-operative instructions
• Comply with Universal Protocol and Time Out procedures
