Job summary

Stillwater Medical is seeking a Perioperative RN to join a high-functioning surgical team. You will provide perioperative nursing care from neonates to geriatrics, advocate for patient safety, and coordinate with surgeons and anesthesia providers to keep procedures running smoothly.

This full-time day position features minimal weekend work, with on-call rotation and 1–2 late days to support surgical flow. You’ll join a culture built on teamwork, learning, and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice in Oklahoma.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to respond to Stillwater Medical Center within 30 minutes when on call.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care to patients from neonate through geriatric populations.
• Serve as a patient advocate by monitoring, positioning, and assisting patients throughout procedures.
• Communicate continuously with surgeons and anesthesia providers regarding patient status.
• Prepare operating rooms by ensuring equipment readiness, availability of supplies, and proper setup.
• Assist with maintenance of surgical equipment and inventory.
• Participate in performance improvement and quality initiatives.
• Support a culture of safety, efficiency, and exceptional patient care.
