Job summary

UnaSource Surgery Center in the United States is seeking a dedicated RN to provide professional nursing care in the operative setting for surgical or invasive procedures. You will promote patient safety, perform pre/postoperative assessments, and participate in policy implementation.

The role requires flexibility, ability to function as circulator and/or scrub, knowledge of perioperative standards (AORN/ASPAN), and strong communication, organization, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited registered nurse program.
• BLS certification required.
• 1–3 years OR experience preferred.
• Must function as circulator and/or scrub.

Responsibilities

• Review preoperative assessment and educate patient and family; transport to OR.
• Ensure proper supplies, equipment, and medications are ready for use.
• Verify name, strength and dosage of medication with scrub personnel.
• Verify patient, procedure, operative site, positioning and equipment.
• Responsible for timeout per site verification policy.
• Observe sterile technique throughout procedures.
• Assist anesthesiologist and surgeon with induction and start of procedures.
• Position patient per procedure; record charges and times accurately.
• Prepare cases for next day; restock OR as needed; assist other OR rooms.
