Job summary

USPI Spicewood Surgery Center is seeking a motivated PreOp/PACU/Circulator to join our team. We have 2 OR rooms and outpatient surgical procedures in Pain Management. Position requires weekdays only — no holidays, weekends, or call.

Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day. Responsibilities include pre-operative assessment, maintaining sterile field, and patient advocacy throughout the perioperative process.

Qualifications

• Current Texas Nursing License.
• Current CPR, ACLS, and BLS.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum 2-year experience in a hospital setting or ASC setting.
• Any perioperative setting is appreciated, but not all areas required as we cross train.

Responsibilities

• Pre-operative duties: assess health, verify wristbands, ensure consents, identify surgeon and procedure, record vitals, initiate IVs.
• Post-operative duties: assess recovery, monitor vitals, document findings, address questions, educate patients and families, report changes.
• OR Circulating duties: assist with equipment, advocate for patient safety, assist positioning, monitor patient throughout procedure, maintain sterile field, exercise clinical judgment.
