Job summary

The Perioperative Post Anesthesia Care Unit & Ambulatory Surgery Unit (PACU-ASU) Critical Care Nurse is an experienced RN who is responsible for all elements of the nursing process across the Perioperative continuum—from PeriAnesthesia through Extended Care. The incumbent cares for diverse surgical and procedural service specialties within the VA system.

This position requires English proficiency, valid licensure, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective veteran

Qualifications

• English proficiency in writing and speaking as required.
• Graduate of an ACEN/CCNE‑approved nursing program.
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN license in the U.S.
• Eligibility for GNT exception per VA rules

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative and post‑anesthesia care across PACU‑ASU.
• Adhere to VA Handbook 5005 qualification standards and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support veteran care
