Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina Health is seeking an RN Periop-Procedural Team Coordinator for the OR Tissue program. The role emphasizes proactive teamwork, staff development, and adherence to AORN guidelines within a 40-hour Mon-Fri schedule with no weekends or major holidays.

External candidates may receive a sign-on bonus up to $20,000 with a 2-year commitment. Candidates must have OR experience and RN licensure in SC or a compact state, with CNOR eligible within 12 months.

Qualifications

• RN licensure by South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• CNOR certification required within 12 months of hire.
• BLS certification required (AHA/ARC) for Healthcare Providers or equivalent.
• Ability to establish working relationships with diverse groups and individuals.

Responsibilities

• Provide staffing solutions to meet the needs of Perioperative areas and ensure staff competency.
• Post and manage job vacancies using the FTE Request System; monitor postings daily and interview candidates within 1–3 days.
• Collaborate with Nursing Professional Development for onboarding and service-specific training.
• Provide constructive feedback and administer objective, equitable feedback for CTMs’ yearly evaluations.
• Address behavioral, attendance, and performance issues per disciplinary process.
• Standardize and systemize PeriProcedural operations with Perioperative Leadership and MUSC Health.
