Job summary

SCA Health, a leader in ambulatory surgical care, seeks an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to join the Oregon Outpatient Surgery Center in Portland. The OR RN will deliver perioperative patient care, support surgical teams, and uphold safety and quality standards across multiple specialties.

The role requires an OR nursing background, Oregon RN license, and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications as applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• BLS within 90 days of employment or current BLS certification upon hire.
• ACLS within 90 days of employment or current ACLS certification upon hire.
• PALS within 90 days of employment if pediatric care is included.
• PALS certification upon hire if pediatric care is included.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the perioperative setting.
• Prepare operating rooms, equipment, and surgical instruments.
• Serve as a circulating and/or scrub nurse during surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and clinical staff to ensure positive patient outcomes.
• Monitor patient status and maintain patient safety throughout the surgical process.
• Ensure compliance with infection control standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Provide excellent patient and family education and support.
