Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Minimum of one year of recent operating room experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing principles and practices
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to adapt to changing environments and patient needs

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures, including setting up instruments and equipment
• Assess patient needs prior to surgery and communicate effectively with the surgical team
• Provide intraoperative care, including assisting surgeons and monitoring patient vitals
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by medical staff
• Ensure all surgical instruments are accounted for before, during, and after procedures
• Maintain strict adherence to safety and infection prevention standards
• Provide postoperative care and education as needed
• Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain clinical competencies
