Job summary

Mercy Health in Perrysburg, OH, is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Operating Room (OR) at Perrysburg Medical Center. The role delivers high-quality nursing care across pre-op, intra-op and post-op stages, coordinating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds an accredited nursing degree (Associate or Bachelor) and an active RN license, with BLS/ACLS or PALS preferred and CNOR/SRNA qualifications a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Associates degree or Bachelors degree in Nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) is required (per Certifications).
• BLS Basic Life Support, ACLS or PALS (preferred at hire; may be required within 6 months depending on department).
• CNOR Certified Perioperative Nurse (preferred, not required).
• SGNA certification preferred, not required.
• Two years RN experience in Critical Care is preferred, not required.
• Peri-op 101 training (preferred, not required).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment.
• Observe the surgery and surgical team and assist to create a safe environment.
• Manage nursing care of the patient within the OR and coordinate with other care providers.
• Provide pre-op, intra-op and post-op care including discharge instructions.
• Other duties as assigned.
