Job summary

Mercy is seeking an Operating Room Circulator RN to join our surgical services team in a full-time capacity. The RN will coordinate and oversee perioperative patient care, collaborating with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the interdisciplinary team to promote patient safety and efficient workflows.

The ideal candidate has an RN license, BLS within 30 days of hire, and OR experience is preferred. Strong communication and advocacy skills are essential in a fast-paced surgical setting.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required in state of practice or compact state
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire
• ACLS and unit-specific certifications may be required

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures
• Serve as the patient's advocate throughout the perioperative experience
• Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia providers to ensure optimal outcomes
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop care plans
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental competencies
• Support a culture of teamwork, safety, and clinical excellence
