Job summary

MedCadre is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Operating Room Circulator to provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care during surgical procedures. The OR Circulator RN coordinates patient care before, during, and after surgery, maintaining a safe sterile environment and ensuring clear communication among the surgical team for optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license in the state of practice.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS certification as per facility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the circulating nurse during surgical procedures across various specialties.
• Prepare operating rooms with equipment, instruments, and sterile supplies.
• Verify patient identity, procedure, and site per safety protocols.
• Assist with patient positioning, skin prep, and sterile environment.
• Monitor patient condition during surgery and respond promptly to changes.
• Document intraoperative care, counts, specimens, implants, and medications in the EMR.
