You will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and nurses to maintain aseptic technique, verify patient identity and surgical site, and support efficient room turnover while prioritizing patient safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• The OR RN coordinates and provides safe, high-quality nursing care for surgical patients.
• Collaborates with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists and nurses.
• Maintains aseptic technique and promotes patient safety throughout the perioperative period.

Responsibilities

• Review patient records, verify identity and surgical site, and participate in the surgical time-out.
• Assist with positioning, surgical prep, medication administration, specimen management and counts.
• Ensure sterilization and high-level disinfection of instruments and supplies.
• Organize workflow, support room turnover, monitor equipment and communicate safety concerns.
• Advocate for patient safety, privacy, dignity, comfort and regulatory compliance.
