Job summary

Physicians Regional Medical Center -North Campus is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Operating Room with OR experience preferred. The role involves coordinating care, assisting the surgical team, and ensuring patient safety throughout perioperative care.

The RN will assess patients, administer medications, monitor equipment, and participate in code team activities while maintaining infection control and quality standards. PRN shifts require flexibility and teamwork across OR services.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state
• BCLS certification required
• ACLS/PALS preferred
• Experience in OR or acute care settings is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient-centered nursing care per the nursing process.
• Document assessments and changes in patient condition.
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects.
• Assist physicians during procedures within competency scope.
• Collaborate with care team to develop and evaluate care plans.
• Provide patient and family education on conditions and post-discharge care.
