Job summary

Anderson Surgery Center seeks a Registered Nurse, Circulator to provide autonomous perioperative care in the OR. The nurse will coordinate patient care, maintain instrumentation, and support sterile processing activities while functioning as circulator and potentially scrub nurse.

The role requires an Illinois RN license, BLS, ACLS (or within one year) and preferred CNOR. A minimum of one year scrub/circulator experience is desired.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Illinois RN license, BLS, ACLS required (or obtained within one year). CNOR preferred.
• Minimum one-year scrub/circulator experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports patient’s rights and responsibilities, including respect of cultural, ethical and religious diversity.
• Provides age-appropriate patient care in a safe, skillful and efficient manner to all populations.
• Assesses patient and family learning needs and provides education with documented outcomes.
• Documents readiness to learn and barriers to learning.
• Effectively utilizes the nursing process to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Assists with organization and leadership in the OR and Sterile Processing.
• Cross trains in other areas of the surgery center as needed.
• Operates within policies and procedures of Anderson Surgery Center.
