Job summary

MedCadre is seeking a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR Circulator) to provide safe, comprehensive perioperative care and coordinate surgical activities before, during, and after procedures.

You will assess patients, prep for surgery, collaborate with the surgical team, monitor during procedures, and ensure aseptic technique and patient safety. Applicants should have an accredited nursing degree, an active RN license, BLS, and ACLS as required; OR experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current and active RN license as required by the state.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS certification preferred/required based on role.
• Previous Operating Room/Circulator experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing, sterile technique, and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Assess and prepare patients for surgery and verify required information.
• Coordinate the surgical team and maintain a safe, efficient operating room environment.
• Monitor patient condition and provide appropriate nursing interventions during procedures.
• Maintain aseptic technique and ensure compliance with infection-control standards.
• Perform accurate surgical counts with the scrub technologist.
• Document patient care and surgical activities accurately.
