Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Maintain current State RN licensure.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of employment and then maintain ACLS.
• Minimum of one year Perioperative experience or direct ophthalmic patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to adult surgical patients.
• Monitor physiological status in pre-/post-operative environment.
• Communicate with surgeon and anesthesiologist about patient conditions.
• Document patient status and care within shift and per policy.
• Maintain Pre-op/PACU equipment and inventory as required.
• Ensure medication safety and correct administration per five rights.
