Job summary

Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Southwest in Houston is seeking an experienced OR Manager to lead perioperative services, ensuring safe, efficient operations and high-quality patient care.

This role supervises nurses, techs, and scheduling, partners with surgeons and anesthesia, and drives compliance with CMS/AAAHC standards while optimizing budgets and resources. Join USPI's network delivering ambulatory surgical care across the United States.

Qualifications

• Current Texas RN license required.
• BSN preferred; ADN with experience considered.
• 3–5 years operating room nursing experience required.
• Previous management or leadership experience in a surgical setting preferred.
• BLS certification required; CNOR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the OR team, including nurses, techs, and support staff.
• Oversee daily operations of the surgical suite, ensuring efficiency and safety.
• Develop, implement, and monitor policies aligning with regulatory standards.
• Manage staffing schedules, recruitment, training, and evaluations for OR personnel.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and administrative staff to optimize workflows.
• Monitor budgets, supply inventory, and equipment maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation and quality standards (CMS, AAAHC, etc.).
