Job summary

HSHS St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL seeks an Assistant Manager-Nursing to support the PACU, Pre Anesthesia, PAT and Outpatient Surgery Center.

You will assist in patient care oversight, staffing, workflows, and protocol development to drive quality and efficiency. The role requires RN licensure with 2 years RN experience in acute settings and leadership exposure; BSN preferred; BLS required, ACLS may be needed depending on unit.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing and licensed in state of practice.
• BSN preferred.
• 2 years staff RN in acute setting required.
• 2 years lead/charge nurse experience preferred.
• RN license in state of practice required.
• BLS required.
• ACLS may be required where necessary.

Responsibilities

• Oversee unit/department including patient care, hiring, transferring, performance improvement, assigning duties, and rewards.
• Develops workflows and prepares operational reports.
• Develops and administers proper protocols for department and/or unit.
• Assists in direct supervision of unit and staff.
• Champions patient care and collaborates with care team providers to ensure excellence.
